link
Falls Creek Training CampFly V Australia prepares for the Australian Championships in Falls Creek, Victoria. This area is such a beautiful place
to come for a holiday or training camp. All you can do is ride your bike or go skiing when it's ski season. Endless mountains
is all the eye can see and we are sleeping at 1500 meters altitude which is perfect preparation for the coming races. At camp
is Bernie, David Kemp, Aaron Kemps, David Tanner, Jai Crawford and myself. Our director Henk Vogels is following us in the
car and telling us what to do in regards to efforts and intervals. Day 1 - Mon we traveled here and did a gym/core
session. Day 2 - Tue we rode 170km with 2 x 8km climbs, 1 x 5km climb and finished off with a 20km climb up to Falls
Creek. Day 3 - Wed we rode 160km with 2 x 8km climbs and then Mount Buffalo which was a 30km climb. Day 4 - Recovery
day. We stayed on top of the mountain and rode for 1.5hrs easy, which really isn't easy cause were at almost 2000m altitude. Day
5 - Friday we were supposed to do 150km but weather turned bad and we had to do another easy 1hr ride on top of the mountain. Day
6 - Saturday was a 160km ride in mountains. 3 x 5min altitude efforts at threshold. Day 7 - Sunday's ride was more relaxed
with a cruise down the mountain and back up, 100km
