National Road Champion (TBC) 

We have just completed a training camp in my home town "Gold Coast". It was made up of the Australian riders who will be competing in the National Championships this January. 

List of riders:

Jonathan Cantwell,  Bernie Sulzberger,  Darren Rolf,  David Kemp,  Hayden Brooks,  Aaron Kemps,  David Tanner and Jai Crawford. 

I showed the boys that the Gold Coast isn't just about riding down the beach from working on your tan. They were all quit surprised how many hills and how solid the training was here. Next training camp is in Falls Creek from the 28th to he 4th January before we head to Ballarat for the Australian Championships.  

What a start to 2010. I just received a telephone call from the National Australian Team (Uni SA) and they informed me that they have been granted selection into this year's Tour Down Under (Pro Tour). They then offered me a spot in their team to ride this coming January 'how about that for some incredible news'.

I have been wanted to race this event since I started cycling and just never had the opportunity and I actually thought that Fly V Australia would get an invitational wildcard selection but we didn't. So I then thought another year would pass and I would be just watching it on television just like the previous years. A huge thanks goes out to my bosses Chris White and Henk Vogels for allowing me to race in another team and the Australian National team for selecting me for the TDU.

Hello all,

The off season has gone way to quickly. I'm back into training and it feels like I haven't lost to much fitness at all. I'm not to sure what that means but I need to be very careful with my health and fatigue in the coming months. The last thing I want is to be going really well early in the year and then fall into a hole before Tour of California in May.

Here is what's coming up.

5/12/09 Dick Smith criterium this Saturday in Sydney. 

14/12/09 Training camp on the Gold Coast for 5 days. This is mainly to get our new bike and equipment. Get measured up and all that boring stuff.

27/12/09 race in Launceston Tasmania for 1 crit, then fly straight to Falls Creek for another training camp which will go for 7 days.

4/1/10 Australian Championships road and criterium.

11/1/10 Training camp back on the Gold Coast where all of our team from all over the world will attend.

20/2/09 race in Mumbai India

27/2/09 race in Singapore

Head straight to America for my 2010 season.
